Continuous measurement of current water levels plays a major role in securing one of our most important resources: water. Whether it be in pumping stations, overflow basins, pipelines, rivers or canals. Efficient water management enables access to clean drinking water and, in combination with the right measures, also ensures safety for river navigation during high water periods.
VEGAPULS WL 61 and WL S 61 are robust sensors, ideal for use in the water and wastewater sector. Designed for the wide temperature range of -40° C to +80° C, they are completely unaffected by ambient conditions such as extreme temperatures, solar radiation and snow storms. They can also withstand pressures of up to 2 bar without difficulty. The housings of high resistance plastic with protection class IP 68 also help ensure maintenance-free operation.
Thanks to the good focusing of their radar signals, VEGAPULS WL 61 and WL S 61 are still able to measure reliably even where special application situations become real challenges: e.g. limited space or heavy buildup on shaft walls. Even with turbulent water surfaces or foam formation caused by detergent residues, perfect functioning of the pump control system is always guaranteed.
The functional housing design and the simple yet diverse mounting options of the VEGAPULS WL series ensure the promised “savings factor” – and safety.
