ION Science, a world-leading OEM in the development, manufacture, and supply of PID sensors, will once again be exhibiting the latest in air quality monitoring at AQE 2022, on stand L0L0. The Air Quality and Emissions Event will take place in Telford, UK, on the 12th and 13th October 2022.

Showcasing the Latest in Air Quality and PID Sensor Technology: ION Science are Exhibiting at AQE 2022

ION Science’s range of MiniPID sensors are widely recognised as the best available PID sensors, thanks to their industry leading sensitivity, reliability, and accuracy in VOC detection. By improving the technology available, it’s possible to better monitor emissions that negatively impact health and the environment.

Exhibiting at AQE 2022 on stand L0L0, ION Science will be demonstrating their full range of PID sensors and components, including the three sensors from the range that are most suitable for air quality monitoring:

  • MiniPID 2 PPB Sensor is optimised to low-end ppb sensitivity while offering a wide dynamic range and is perfect for measuring indoor and outdoor air quality over a wide range of environments.
  • MiniPID 2 HS Sensor is the most sensitive VOC sensor on the market designed for high sensitivity applications, allowing sub ppb measurement.
  • MiniPID 2 10.0 eV sensor is a good choice for spaces that require selective measurement of highly toxic VOCs such as benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene.

ION Science’s PID technology is ideal for air quality and emissions monitoring purposes, thanks to the advanced developments made by the R&D team at ION Science. The patented fence electrode technology found in all ION Science MiniPID sensors helps to eliminate false positives. The fence electrode guards the sensing electrodes against short circuits, and false negatives are also minimised through a combination of advanced electrode geometry and moisture filtering.

ION Science also employ an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) that monitors the sensors performance and feeds back to provide market leading temperature stability. The ASIC performs key diagnostic duties that flag when the lamp is out, or if the ionisation chamber is compromised. Without these, the user has no way to know if of the sensor has been compromised and potentially leaves the user at risk to dangerous exposures. ION Science’s sensors are the only fail safe PIDs in the world.

At the heart of the PID is the ionising source, the lamp, contributes to lifetime, sensitivity, and photon energy of the sensor. As the lamp is such a critical component, ION Science manufacture this essential part in house. For over 20 years, ION Science has invested significantly in cutting edge technology to continuously improve processes, and now manufactures the highest quality lamps on the market.

Using MiniPID sensors and gas sensing technology in combination has demonstrated that it is an effective way to monitor air quality and emissions for the safeguarding of human and environmental health. ION Science is committed to protecting lives and preserving the environment by offering pioneering gas sensing technology for monitoring and improving air quality.

To see ION Science’s full range of MiniPID sensors and understand more about how to deploy PID technology, to help improve air quality and health, or to hear directly from the experts, visit the ION Science stand L0L0 at AQE 2022, 12th – 13th October 2022.

Industrial work environments are certainly some of the most hazardous. Not only can they have significant impacts on their surrounding environments, but they also pose a very real and serious threat to employees.
