Chris Fry joins from Temple Group as Director for Infrastructure and Regeneration
Engineering, design and consultancy company Ramboll has announced three new hires in the Environment & Health practice, including a new member of the UK management team, Chris Fry. Chris joins from Temple Group where he was the Managing Director and is now tasked with growing Ramboll’s sustainable infrastrucrure and regeneration business.
Chris has vast experience across a number of sectors including rail, highways, energy and renewables, water management and sustainable cities. Responsibilities in his previous role included developing and implementing business strategy and leading collaborative ventures. Having trained as an expert consultant in impact assessment for infrastructure products, Chris is also well versed in developing innovative solutions to help create low carbon industries and places. At Ramboll he will support major transport infrastructure and urban regeneration programmes, including those emerging with the new metro mayors and devolved administrations.
Nick Howard leads appointments in Manchester
The company has also added two members to its senior Environment & Health team, with the appointment of Nick Howard as a Principal Consultant and joint lead of its Compliance, Strategy and Transaction practice within the UK, and Steve King as a Principal Consultant in its Impact Assessment practice. Both are working from the Manchester office.
Nick joins from AECOM with over 18 years’ of experience in delivering global transactions and compliance support. He is experienced in assessing options for clients and future legal constraints of business activity, and will bolster Ramboll’s compliance, strategy and transaction offering, focussing on providing support to industrial and corporate clients.
Joining the team from RSK Consulting, Steve has over 25 years’ experience in environmental permitting and planning. He has extensive knowledge of international ESIAs and has worked across Africa and South East Asia in the oil & gas, waste management, development aid and mining sectors.
