Achieving high-precision measurements of greenhouse gases should not impose limits on the primary focus of your work. For over 30 years, LI‑COR Biosciences has been producing robust gas analyzers and the new Trace Gas Analyzers were designed to provide you with the precision, stability, and ease of use you need.
Introducing two new analyzers, the LI‑7810 CH4/CO2/H2O Analyzer and LI‑7815 CO2/H2O Analyzer. The new Trace Gas Analyzers are not only fast, accurate, and stable, but versatile, easy to use, and reliable. See how these analyzers can fit into your industrial monitoring system.
High Performance
First and foremost, a gas analyzer should be able to capture the quality of data you need. The LI‑COR Trace Gas Analyzers employ the PreciseTech™ Design, which combines high-precision, laser-based gas analysis in a design that makes it easy to use and flexible for your work. The Trace Gas Analyzers utilize OF-CEAS (Optical Feedback-Cavity Enhanced Absorption Spectroscopy) to generate high precision data with long-term stability, reducing the need for calibrating the instrument.
The LI‑7810 captures methane measurements at a precision (1σ) of 0.25 ppb (5-second averaging) with a drift of less than 1 ppb per 24-hour period. The LI‑7815 captures carbon dioxide measurements with a precision (1σ) of 0.04 ppm (5-second averaging) with a drift of less than 0.2 ppm per 24-hour period.
The LI‑COR analyzers also have a fast response time (T10-T90) of less than or equal to 2 seconds for 0 to 2 ppm for methane and 0 to 400 ppm for carbon dioxide step changes. Quick measurements mean there is little to no discernible lag between samples.

Reliable
In order to let you focus on what you need to, an analyzer should be dependable with minimal downtime. This allows the analyzer to do what it does best, high precision measurements, and frees up your time.
With a highly stable optical bench reducing the need for recalibration, and the modular design, you won’t even need to open the case to change the air filters.
All that translates into little downtime, which means more continuous measurements. Additionally, you won’t need to hover over the analyzer to pull your measurements as there is enough memory to preserve up to three months’ worth of data.
Durable
A trace gas analyzer should go where your research takes you. The LI‑COR Trace Gas Analyzers don’t force you to compromise mobility for precision or vice versa. The LI‑7810 and LI‑7815 analyzers perform just as well in the field as they do in a lab or a building and, due to their size and weight, they are easy to move between the two.
Although operating conditions inside a building are relatively stable, conditions outside are another story altogether. An analyzer that’s not built to stand up to the elements could be unusable for six months of the year or more. The Trace Gas Analyzers are designed to be deployed in the field with minimal infrastructure.
Some analyzers begin to fail capturing measurements as temperatures near freezing, but the LI‑COR analyzers have a wide operating temperature range. They will continue to function with high accuracy at temperatures from -25 °C up to 45 °C.
Easy to Use
Use of any instrument should require as few hurdles as possible and the LI‑COR Trace Gas Analyzers have as few as you could expect. They are extremely simple to plumb into your existing system. Just connect the sample tubing and then turn the analyzer on either with the AC power adapter or using the included lithium ion batteries.
The two hot-swappable batteries will typically run the analyzer for 8 hours. The analyzer has onboard storage for both batteries and will automatically charge them whenever the analyzer is plugged in to AC power. If you experience any power interruptions or failure, your analyzer can continue to run for up to 8 hours on the batteries. This reduces data loss until power is restored.
The live data from the analyzer is visible using the external display. Alternatively, you can connect to the analyzers with a mobile device or laptop via Wi-Fi using a web browser and the analyzer’s built-in web server. There’s no additional app or software to install.
