The CozIR®-LP3 is based on GSS proprietary solid-state non-dispersive infra-red (NDIR) LED technology, where the sensor measures concentration levels by analysing the amount of light absorbed by the CO2 gas. This LED technology allows the sensor to achieve unrivalled low-power consumption, making it suitable for a range of applications including battery powered and wirelessly connected devices.
The CozIR®-LP3 provides the user with extensive flexibility, a choice of UART or I²C control interfaces, digital and analogue CO₂ measurements, and a fail-safe digital alarm level monitor. The CozIR-LP3 has also been designed to give the designer several fixturing options. The sensor features a low height form factor, with options for mounting on top, below or through the PCB, making the CozIR® LP3 ideal for applications where space is at a premium.
Julian Hayes, CEO of Gas Sensing Solutions said “We are delighted to add the CozIR®-LP3 to our range of ultra-low-power CO2 sensors. Customers can benefit from a low height form factor and small footprint, while still achieving the lowest of power consumption. The new sensor comes with an array of measurement output types, alarm and control functions options making it our most flexible sensor to date”.
The CozIR®-LP3 is available to order from today. A Sensor Evaluation Board is also available, enabling users to easily assess the performance of the CozIR®-LP3. Each kit contains a CozIR®-LP3 CO₂ sensor, along with the Sensor Evaluation Board and software to allow the user to control and configure the sensor.
