SGS is pleased to announce the opening of a sample preparation facility in Lagos, Nigeria, strategically located to service the growing needs of the exploration and mining industry in Nigeria.
The Lagos Sample Preparation facility will process exploration samples from Nigeria and ship the prepared pulps to SGS’s existing commercial laboratory in Tarkwa, Ghana for geochemical analysis. This new facility will have the capacity to prepare up to 330 samples per day at commencement with the ability to expand to 600+ samples per day if required due to volumes. Prepared samples may also be sent to other SGS laboratories in Australia, Canada, Africa or Europe depending on client needs.
This new facility complements an extensive global network of fixed preparation laboratories, mobile sample preparation units (MSPUs), commercial and on-site laboratories. All of SGS’s commercial geochemical laboratories globally are accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
SGS is recognized as the global leader in the geochemical analytical and testing sector and this new facility reflects the company’s continued commitment to expanding its African laboratory network to ensure that its services are easily accessible to all clients.
