A course launched today by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) will demonstrate the positive impact businesses and the environment can have on each other.
Environment for Business has been developed in collaboration with world-renowned experts to respond to the needs of industry partners in different sectors and regions.
Designed for managers and supervisors in any sector and any part of the world, the course provides a realistic and practical overview of the ways an organisation might address its environmental risks and opportunities, and encourages individuals to consider the roles they can play in helping their organisation to successfully benefit from positive environmental engagement.
Dina Alkhalidi, Head of Customer Engagement for IOSH’s Training and Skills division, said: “Our Environment for Business course shows how good environmental management can drive efficiency and profitability in new ways.”
The course is one of three new programmes launched by IOSH today, the others being Fire Safety for Managers and Fire Safety Awareness. IOSH has also issued a revised version of its Managing Safely Refresher course.
Environment for Business presents new and innovative ways of thinking about sustainability and how it can benefit business.
Topics include how the environment can impact on organisations and vice-versa. The course also examines what is meant by the term ‘environment’ and the ways in which organisations can minimise environmental risks and maximise sustainable opportunities.
