In the water and fluid filtration fields, SARATECH® adsorbents are best suited for reliably removing all kinds of pollutants and trace substances, for dechlorination and as well as industrial process- and waste water treatment. Also in the field of ultrapure water production (generally DOC), the adsorbents are able to eliminate the last traces of organic impurities. Furthermore, they are able to effectively retain micropollutants, for example pesticides, in drinking water treatment.
Specially functionalized, highly selective SARATECH® adsorbents are used to remove radionuclides. This performance is achieved by the use of highly pure and dust-free material or rather special impregnations in combination with the ability to adsorptively bind water-soluble substances.
All in all, SARATECH® adsorbents have crucial technical and economic advantages, since in many cases they are reusable and the technology required for their use requires comparatively little installation space.
Currently there is an ongoing development of an innovative continuous counterflow adsorber, which combines the advantages of SARATECH® adsorbents in a process engineering unit into an innovative, highly efficient technology. Adsorption and desorption are combined in a closed material cycle in continuous operation. This ensures effective use of the material without logistical expenses.
