Next generation technologies for the circular economy are to feature in the BlueTech Innovation Pavilion at Aquatech Amsterdam 2017. Together with the InnovationLAB this will provide the centrepiece for an expanded innovation programme during the show to highlight the water sector’s most exciting and innovative developments.
The BlueTech Innovation Pavilion was launched as a resounding success at Aquatech Amsterdam 2015, when seven breakthrough technologies were featured. Returning with a new suite of innovations, this year there will also be twice-daily tours of the pavilion to enhance access for visitors. In addition, BlueTech Research and organiser Aquatech will host a Breakfast Briefing and an exclusive Concierge –guided- Tour to highlight innovations across the event.
Aquatech embraces innovation
‘We are delighted to be partnering again with Aquatech Amsterdam and hosting the Innovation Pavilion,’ says Paul O’Callaghan, CEO of BlueTech Research. ‘The theme of circular economy will allow us to zoom in on a key area that is very relevant to the European situation and put some innovative new technologies in the spotlight.’
‘Innovation opens the way for new solutions to the challenges the water sector faces and in turn for new business opportunities,’ says Marieke Leenhouts, Senior Product Manager of Aquatech Amsterdam with RAI Amsterdam. ‘We are excited to again feature the BlueTech Innovation Pavilion as part of our continued commitment to supporting and stimulating innovation.’
Innovations lining up
Two technologies already lined up to appear in the Innovation Pavilion are the energy-saving membrane aerobic biofilm reactor technology of Irish company OxyMem, and the phosphate recovery technology of Belgian company NuReSys. These and six other technologies are set to benefit from the same valuable exposure that the Innovation Pavilion provided previously.
‘We had overwhelmingly positive feedback from the companies that featured last time,’ adds O’Callaghan. Many of these have since gone on to enjoy great successes, including Arvia Technology, FATHOM, AquiSense, Akvola Technologies, Spiral Water Technologies, and Magpie Polymers.
Tours and Breakfast Briefing
The tailor-made Concierge Tours of the Innovation Pavilion and Aquatech InnovationLAB are scheduled for 11am and 2pm each day. The invitation-only BlueTech Breakfast Briefing and show innovation tour will be held on Wednesday 1 November and will end at the Innovation Pavilion.
