Shell, Rockstart and YES!Delft have called for start-ups with innovative solutions to address future energy demand.
Shell Technology Ventures (Shell), Rockstart and YES!Delft have launched the second edition of the New Energy Challenge – the competition for European start-ups providing innovative, low-carbon energy solutions.
The New Energy Challenge is open to European and Israeli start-ups with innovative technologies and solutions for a low-carbon energy future.
Geert van de Wouw, manager for technology ventures at Shell’s New Energy business, said: “During the coming decades, the world will need more and cleaner energy to meet growing demand. We believe in the possibility of a transition to a new energy mix, and that collaboration with start-ups and entrepreneurs will be essential to accelerating it.”
The challenge aims to accelerate the development and implementation of breakthrough technologies.
