After ACHEMA Pulse 2021 – the pioneering digital event for the process industry – it was clear to us as organisers that ACHEMA 2022 should again take place as a physical exhibition on site in Frankfurt, Germany. After a two-year dry spell, the longing for a physical ACHEMA with participants from all over the world is greater than ever. We want to satisfy this longing by offering our visitors and exhibitors a platform to meet – and be as carefree as possible.

In view of the continuing situation with renewed travel restrictions, we would not have been able to guarantee our vision on the originally planned spring date. After intensive discussions with the community and the ACHEMA Committee, which represents the exhibitors, we have therefore decided to postpone ACHEMA 2022 by four months to late summer this year. The time window at the end of August may not be a classic exhibition date according to previous understanding. Under Covid-19 conditions, however, this date offers the best possible guarantee that ACHEMA 2022 will be held reliably, safely, and with international participation as a live format – just as we all want it to be.
Apart from the date, nothing will change at the planned ACHEMA 2022: Trend-setting technology and worldwide networking will continue to characterise the world’s leading exhibition in 2022.
Founders and young entrepreneurs will meet in the Start-up Area. With the focus topics “Modular and Networked Production”, “The Digital Lab” and “Product and Process Security”, ACHEMA 2022 will address the issues that are preying on the mind of the process industry. In addition, the mega-topics of digitalisation and climate neutrality are moving even more into the focus of ACHEMA with the “Digital Hub” and the “Green Innovation Zone”.
Another innovation of ACHEMA 2022: For the first time, the congress will be fully integrated into the exhibition and five instead of three theme days await the visitors.
This means that none of the topics that are of concern to the process industry will be left out.
We can hardly wait for the Frankfurt Fair Grounds to (once again) become the world forum of the process industry from 22 to 26 August, where innovations are within reach. You too can be there!
