ABB will be highlighting its offering for air quality monitoring applications at this year’s Air Quality Emissions (AQE) show at the Telford International Centre, 21st-22nd November 2018.
Stand 42 at AQE 2018 will include ABB’s new Dynamic QR code assistance tool for continuous emissions analysers. The tool enables customers to benefit from faster communication and resolution through instantaneous information on system configuration and analyser health status. It is compatible with standard QR code reader applications as well as ABB’s application “my Installed Base” (myIB), providing customers with improved case-specific service support by ABB.
Also on show will be ABB’s ACF5000 hot/wet extractive continuous emissions monitoring system for combustion applications. The ACF5000 combines the advantages of an FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra-Red) spectrometer with zirconia oxygen measurement and optional flame ionisation (FID) technology to simultaneously analyse up to 15 different gas components including SO2, CO2, CO, NH3 and VOCs using a single sample probe system.
The high resolution FTIR spectrometer performs sensitive and stable measurement of active gas molecules, ensuring highly accurate quantification for combustion process monitoring in municipal and hazardous waste incineration and power plants using coal, oil or waste. Where the FID module is included, the ACF5000 can also be used to measure unburned hydrocarbons at ppm levels to help improve combustion efficiency.
The ACF5000 will be joined by other examples from ABB’s continuous gas analysis portfolio, including the AZ30 compact combustion gas analyser for high temperature applications up to 800°C. Able to withstand the impact of sulphurous and reducing atmospheres, the AZ30 is suitable for use in a range of arduous applications including sulphur recovery processes, crematoria and industrial and clinical waste incineration.
ABB also features in the workshop programme for AQE, with ABB specialists delivering talks on key topics, including advice on using the latest digital technologies to help maximise data quality and availability in air quality emissions measurement applications.
