IFAT ENTSORGA 2010 in Munich is reporting an extremely large number of exhibitors: More than 2,620 companies from more than 44 countries have already registered. Now it is also clear that IFAT ENTSORGA will occupy one more hall than IFAT 2008.
IFAT ENTSORGA has set the right course for the future. It is the world's most important trade fair for the environment and waste disposal.
The response, especially among foreign exhibitors, who currently account for 37 percent of exhibitors has been particularly positive. This trend is also confirmed by demand for joint stands for contingents of international exhibitors: So far 14 countries including Austria, Belgium, China, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain, Korea, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the United States have registered joint exhibits at IFAT ENTSORGA – not to mention several joint exhibits from organisations in Germany.

The Filtration Conference

In today’s climate of financial constraint, it is often difficult to obtain time off work to attend conferences, so scientists and engineers are looking for highly focused events that require the minimum time away from their desks or laboratories.
It is perhaps for this reason that the unique formula of invited lecturers and a poster session or ‘Technology burst’ all in one day always attracts record numbers of worldwide visitors.
As an added attraction this year, the conference will be preceded by a one day short course for those new to filter testing or wishing to develop their knowledge in the field. As is the case for the invited lecturers, the presenters of the short course are leading authorities in their fields.
The main conference will cover the full spectrum of pore sizes and will, for the first time, extend pore size management into the nanometre range using the latest surface area measurements and high precision particle sizing techniques employed in challenge testing.
The two plenary lectures set the scene by reviewing the latest test and validation methods in both dry and wet filtration, with a particular emphasis on environmental issues. This new two day event has elements that will appeal to everyone involved in filtration, from the absolute beginner to those who have spent a lifetime in the industry.

Pittcon is the world's annual premier Conference and Exposition on laboratory science. It is organized by The Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy, a Pennsylvania not-for-profit educational corporation which is comprised of the Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh (SSP) and the Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh (SACP).
